City of Chubbuck, held in the Municipla Building of the City of Chubbuck,May 28, 1968.
Present- Henry, Hillman, Buchanan, Thompson, Taylor.
Absent- McDevitt, excused.
Called to order 8:10 P.M.
Purpose- Conti~uation.~of Business from last regular meeting.
Greener Pastures- Residents complained of the Sanitation charge and claim they are not
getting the service. This is to be checkout out with P"rks & Sons. Road maintenance and
the Plat were d~scussed. Decision was that the annexation stands. Motion made by
Buchanan that the Council let the annexation stand as is and have McDevitt contact
Oaldwell and let him know the Council's decision is final. No second-to the motion so!
it was tabled. ~
Burley Drive- Mrs Grooms asked where the deeds to the roads are. hensley stated that
McOmber has them. Thompson is to check this out.
Petition banning sale of liquor and beer- presented to Council without any signatures.
No action taken. Presented by E L Kremin of Greener Pastures.
Neider Addition- Residents asked how to go about getting a L I D. After discussion it
was decided we need legal advise before we can answer them.
East Evan's Lane- Mrs Robert Brown asked about establishing a Dog Grooming Parlor on the
east end of this Lane. Council advised her to contact her nieghbors and get their
permission and then come back to the Regular meeting in June. This would also be a
Dog Training Business.
Ordinance # 76- Bannock Fable ~eV Franchise then read for the second time. Motion to
suspend the rules and read once again by Title made by Hillman, seconded by Taylor,
roll call vote for suspension of rkles, Hillman-yes, Thimpson-yes, TaYlor-yes and
Buchanan-yes. Ordinance then read once again by Title. Motion to pass Ordinance # 76
made by Hillman, seconded by Taylor. Roll call vote for passage of Ordinance # 76,
Hillman-yes, Thompson-yes, Taylor-yes and Buchanan-yes.
Ordinance # 77 - Planning Co~nission . Read in full by Buchanan. Motion to suspend rules
and read once in full and twice by Title made by Thon~son, seconded by Taylor. Roll call
vote for suspension of rules Hillman-yes, Thompson-yes, Taylor-yes and Buchanan-yes.
Ordinance # 77 then read twice by Ti$1~ by C.~mrk. Motion to pass Ordinance # 77 made by
Thom~son, seconded by Taylor. Roll call vote for passage of Ordinance # 77, Hillman-yes,
Thompson-yes, Taylor-yes and Buchanan-yes.
Delinquent ~ater Accounts- Clerk was instructed to send out delinquent notices on the
lOth of the month.
Water Ordinance was then discussed and worked on. Should be ready for reading at next
meeting.
Dog Licenses- Hensley asked permission to contact Pocatello Dog Pound ~ster and see
if they will help catch the unlicensed dogs in Chubbuck, as he has the equipment for i~.
Hensley is to fi~ out how much he will charge and then talk to M~yor Henry and all
Council agreed to stand by Mayor Henry's decision on the matter of hiring this done. ~
Meeting recessed at 10:35 P.M. till further notice if necessary.
