CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Burch
PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG: Councilmember Hernandez
COUNCIL PRESENT: Melanie Evans, Roger Hernandez, Norman Reece, and Dan Heiner.
STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Rodney Burch, City Attorney Ryan Lewis, Public Works
Director Bridger Morrison, Municipal Services Director Kami Berger, Police Chief Nick Sasser,
Fire Chief Chas Clark, City Treasurer Eric Jablonski, and City Clerk Joey Bowers.
DISCLOSURES OR CONFLICTS OF INTEREST ON ANY AGENDA ITEMS: None were reported
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: July 1, 2026.
Councilmember Evans motioned for approval of the Council Meeting minutes.
Councilmember Hernandez seconded motion for approval of minutes.
Roll Call: Reece -yes, Heiner -yes, Evans -yes, Hernandez -yes, motion passed.
GENERAL BUSINESS:
1. Presentation of the Chubbuck Police Department Distinguished Service Medal.
Chief Nick Sasser presented the Distinguished Service Medal to Staff Sergeant Rob
Butterfield.
2. FY27 Budget Request Discussion.
Mayor Rodney Burch presented the FY27 budget requests and identified requests that
could be delayed.
3. 5 year Financial Projections.
Mayor Rodney Burch presented a five-year financial projection for Human Resources.
City Treasurer Eric Jablonski prepared and presented estimated financial forecasts to
support long-term planning.
4. Community Garden.
Councilmember Dan Heiner Presented information on the potential future
development of a community garden area.
CLAIMS:
1. City of Chubbuck claims for July 15, 2026 as presented to Mayor Burch and
Council.
Councilmember Heiner motioned to approve the City of Chubbuck Claims as presented.
Councilmember Hernandez seconded motion for approval.
Roll Call: Heiner -yes, Evans -yes, Hernandez -yes, Reece -yes, motion passed.
GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. Mayor Report: the Mayor may review non -actionable topics not already on the
agenda that should be brought to the Council's attention, if any.
Discussion topics included the Parade of Homes and the Idaho International
Choral Festival.
2. Council Report: Councilmembers may review non -actionable topics not already on
the agenda that should be brought to the Council's attention, if any.
The Council didn't have anything to report.
