Village of Chubbuck, held in the Municipal Building of the Village
of Chubbuck, on January 12, 1960.
Present- Davis, Ward, Mitchell.
Absent- Hillman, excused for illness, Frasure and McDevitt,
excused for accident due to weather. Called to order 8:15 P.M.
Minutes of the last regular and one recessed meeting then ~ead
and approved as read.
Bills for month presented to Board. Motion to approve payment
made by Ward, seconded by Mitchell, all in f~vor. Bills As follows:

Financial and Police reports for month presented to Board.
Report from Dept. of Health on Well No.2 read to Board, and
their recommendations for safety agreed on by Board.
Asst. Watermaster- no applications for the job so Board will
not act till applications ara received.
Hawthorne Road Mainline- An estimate of the cost of that line
ia 1,982.78. Ward suggested that each resident present the Board
with an itemized statement of their cost, and the Board will make
payments to them when ever we can and as soon as we can.
Hiway Dept Meeting- Davis explained that the Hiway Dept. meeting
was for the purpose of trying to determine just what road will be
built in the next l0 years, what type of surface coating they will
need and what depth gravel bed should be laid, and what amount of
traffic will be using these roads.
Phone Co.- Davis reported that the Phone Co. has made their
survey of the area and wiI1 make a report of their findings to
tha Board within the next two weeks.
Fairgrounds Water- A discussion on the possibility of Chubbuck
furnishing the water for the new fairgrounds was followed by
the estimate of pipe etc. the Vil]a~e would need if the County
does want water from Chubbuck. Ward suggested that before we go
so far as to order the pipe etc., we should have something in
writing from the County as to what they expect to do. Davis
said he had met with the Commissioners and he felt sure they
could give us a definite answer in the near future, and possibly
within a week. It was estimated that we would need 1350 feet
of 8 inch, D. & W. 12 gauge steel pipe if we are to furnish~the
water for the project.
