Trustees of the Village of Chubbuck, held in the Municipal Building
of the Village of Chubbuck, on April 29, 1959
Present - Hard, ~Willman, Fenwick and Valenty
Called to order: 8:05 P.M.
Purpose- ~ork on budget for fiscal year May l, 1959 to April 30, 1960,
and also some other urgent business.
Details of the proposed Budget are herewith attached to opposite page.
~ ~ichard A. ~tchell was then introduced to the Board. In the recent
Municipal ~illage Election, he was fourth man high on the final results.
Since there will be a vacancy, due to the resignation of E~rnest Frasure,
Mitchell would like the Board to consider him for the appointee to fill
the vacancy.
New Annexation- Valenty reported that G.S~ardino is complaining because
the Ordinance took in Buffalo Road, which is better known as Airport Road,
anm hearsays the county was planning on grading, widening, and getting ready
to oil the road. He requested the Board to see if they can deannex the
Gathe strip so th~ county will continue '~lth their plans. After a discussion
the Board deciCed they would need Legal advice on this proceedure, and the
matter will be further discussed when the Attorney is present.
New Hook-ups- John PJ. erce was present and told the Board that he is
putting in a 2 inch water line through his property. This water line is
in direct line with Alton Way, and will eventually be a through street,
running North and South. He is doing all the work and would like to pay
the Village the 75.00 for the hook-up, and at the same time send the
Village a bill for 50.00 for labor and materials. He is f~r~ ~hing the
materials. It was the decision of the Board, that this is not on a public
street, but rather in a subdivision, and they advised him to lay the main
line and the Village will supply the hook-up to a foot inside his property
line, and he will be assessed the 75.00 hook-up charge. They cannot pay
him for labor and materials, as it is a suRdivision on his own property.
They advised him that they want to keep all hook-ups uniform, and in so
doing avoid any trouble that may arise from others in the Village who
might like to undertake a similar project.
Earnest Kiest- wants two hook-ups on his property on South Yellowstone
High~ay. His property is in the Village limits. He wants to know about
what such an undertaking would cost him, can the Village lay pipe under the
Highway in front of his houses, or will they have to go aown the East side
of the road from the cross that was put in at the junction of Menard's
property. It is an estimated 500 feet from the cross at Menard's connection
to the last house of Kiest's. The Board discussed the possibilities and
aecided to get m~re facts and figures before making a decision.
Meeting recessed at 10:55 P.M. till Monday May ~, 1959 at 8:00 P.M.,
at which time they will adopt a resolution to ~pprove the estimate of
expenses or budget for fiscal year ~ay 1, !9~9/t~ AprA~/3Or~ 1969
P.S. Pertaining to the budget- while setting up the budget the
matter of ~age increases for the Police Officer and Clerk were discussed.

25.00 per month, and the Clerk 60.00 per month. A mo~ion to approve the
