Absent - Caldwell , delayed by car trouble, and Frasure. Called to order 5:05 P.M. Purpose - Adopt the resolution to approve the estimate of expenses or budget for the fiscal year May l, 1958 to April 30, 1959. gesolution read in full by Valenty. After a brief discussion that Board all agreed to let the salaries remain as they appear in the budget. This is to allow time for the ;'J'ater~orks Fund to build up so it can repay what it owes to the General Fund. Motion to adopt the resolution as read made by ,~ard, seconded by Hillman. Absent - Fenwick. Called to order 8:10 P.M. Purpose - Open Construction Bids for Completion of ~ell No. 2 Project. Bids as follows: Sterling Sigman, P,catello - License-C-2318. Bonds included. Schedule 1. 8,708.51 Schedule 2. 6,150.00 Schedule 3- 1,775.00 with coping or 1,675.00 without coping. Schedule h. 2~275.OO 18,908.51 Total Bid Eogers Bros. Co., Idaho Falls, Idaho License-C-2298 Bond included. Bid on Schedule ~. only. 2~238.00 Mel Brown, Idaho Falls, Idaho 'License-2228-C Bond not incluHed. Bid on Schedule ~. 2,550.00 A complete itemized sheet of these bids is herewith attached to these minutes. A Motion to give hhese bids to Hamilton so he can tabulate them and meet with the Board at 12:O0 P.~. Noon on May 9, 1958 at which time the Board ~ill award the contracts, made by ~ard, seconded by Frasure. All in favor. Old and ne~ business to be discussed at this time- ~oy Neider- asked if the Board had decided to go across Hawthorne ~oad with the water line to the Neider properS. Board advised Neider tnat they are going to put a line there. The Village will apply to Fort Hall Irrigation Co, for an easement across the Canal. That line will be laid first so it can be ~one before the water is turned into the canal. Y.D.Black of the ~ocatello Police Dept. - asked the Board if they would send Hensley to a Crime School at Medford, Oregon.. He feels that the methods taught there will be a benefit to Hensley in apprehending known criminals. The school is for 3 days.. It will take 2 days to get there and 2 days to come home. In all Hensley would be gone ? days. The c6st is approximately lO.OO a day, plus transportation. The Board will discuss this and give an answer at the regular Board Meeting on May 13, 1958. Present- ~ard, Hillman, Valenty and Hamilton. Absent- Fenwick, Frasure and Caldwell. Calle~ to Order 12:10 P.M. Purpose- Decide on Construction Bids. After a lengthy discussion of the bids a Motion to award the entire bid to the Sterling Sigman Construction Co. made by Ward, seconded by Hillman. All in favor. Meeting adjourned at 12:dO P.M. Village Clerk Chairman of Bo~rd P.S. During the discussion it was decided to omit 1 Fire hydrant from the bid as well as several valves, making the total cest of the bid 18,6~5.OO instead of the original total of 18,908.51. ~he 18,6a5.OO plus Engineer's Fee ~53,O0 and Hawthorne Line 1,187.OO would ma~e an overall total of 20,185.OO.
