April 2nd, 2002
APPLICANT:
Bob Nestor
PROJECT TITLE:
B & C Construction/B & C Marine
LOCATION:
4888 Valenty Road
PURPOSE OF REVIEW:
Determine off-street parking requirements.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Attorney Tom Holmes, Steve Smart, Richard Webb, Ray Griffin,
Eric King, Ron Conlin, Jim Phelps, Merlin Miller and Larry Kohntopp.
Bob Nestor presented a site plan showing the required employee parking.
Bob Nestor, B & C Construction stated he has leased his south building to Tru-Green Chemical
Co.
Larry Kohntopp pointed out the driveway for employees to get to employee parking is required to
be paved. Mr. Nestor said he is concerned about cementing the drive because it is the
driveway he uses to get his heavy equipment and large trucks to the back of property. Mr.
Nestor expressed concern the cement would have to be replaced often.
Mr. Nestor said he will advise Tru-Green Chemical they are required to come to a Design Review
Meeting to discuss their plans and address Fire Department issues relating to chemicals
they use.
After discussion, Design Review Committee approved the sign plan with the following
requirements:
1. Cement the 25' common access area on the site plan for employees to get to
employee parking.
2. Parking space requirements as shown on site plan are approved as presented.
3. 10' Landscaping requirement with automatic sprinkling system
4. Juniper ground cover for landscaping was approved.
