ORDINANCE NO. _].67 _ <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO, ADOPTING THE <br /> 1973 EDITION OF THE LIFE SAFETY CODE PUBLISHED BY <br /> THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION; PROVIDING FOR <br /> ADOPTION OF FUTURE EDITIONS OF SAID LIFE SAFETY CODE <br /> BY RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL PURSUANT TO THIS <br /> ORDINANCE; REQUIRING THE CITY CLERK TO MAINTAIN ON FILE <br /> IN THE CHUBBUCK CITY OFFICES THREE COPIES OF SAID LIFE <br /> SAFETY CODE TOGETHER WITH AMENDMENTS THERETO AND RESOLUTIONS <br /> ADOPTING SUCH AMENDMENTS; REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING <br /> ORDINANCES TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT; PROVIDING <br /> FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL <br /> BECOME EFFECTIVE. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />CHUBBUCK, IDAHO: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: Adoption of Life Safety Code. A certain <br />document, three (3) copies of which are on file in the office <br />of the city clerk, Chubbuck City Offices, being marked and <br />designated as the Life Safety Code, 1973 Edition, published <br />by the National Fire Protection Association, shall be and the <br />same hereby is adopted and incorporated by reference herein. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: Procedure for Adoption of Future Editions. <br />Future editions of said Life Safety Code may be adopted, as <br />the same are published from time to time by the National <br /> <br />Fire Protection Association or its successor organization, by <br />resolution shall identify with particularity the edition of <br />said Life Safety Code so adopted and shall recite that it is <br />adopted pursuant to this ordinance. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3: Filing. Three (3) copies of the 1973 edition <br />of the Life Safety Code, together with three (3) copies of <br /> <br />any future amendments thereto and of the resolutions of the <br /> <br />Mayor and Council adopting said amendments, all to be certified by <br />the City Clerk, shall be maintained on file in the Clerk's <br />Office for use and examination by the public. <br /> <br /> SECTION 4: Repeal of Conflicting Ordinances. Any <br />provision of any prior ordinance which conflicts with the <br />provisions of this ordinance, or of the Life Safety Code as <br />herein adopted, and which cannot be construed consistently with <br />this ordinance or said Life Safety Code, is hereby repealed to <br />the extent of such conflict. <br /> <br /> SECTION 5: Severability.
