HomeMy WebLinkAbout11 14 1961 CM Minutes of the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Vitla~e of Chubbuck, held in the Municipal Pui ding of the V~llage of Chuhbuck on November 14, 1961 Present- Davis, Trost, Hillman and McDevitt. Absent- Ward and Frasure. Called to order 8:12 P.~. Minutes of last regular meeting then read and approved as read. Bills for the month presented to Board. l~otion to approve payment of bills made by Millikan, seconded by Trost. Ail in favor. Bill from Van Gas for 19.90 was ordered held up as the ~oard t?inks the price ~ is too high. This will be checked befor~ pay~ent can be made. Financial and Police reverts for month ~esented to Board. Votsr's Registrar- ?oca~e]]o Jaycees requested that the~ be allowed to copy names of registered~'~ot~rs from our Re?istrar so they could canvas Chubbuck ~ith petitions for consolidation with Pocatello. Registrar Books are under lock and key from our last election and the Ballot Boxes cannot be opened till eight months has lapsed since our last election, unless a Court Order is issued stating otherwise. Church of God of Prophecy- Letter from Rev. K~ng read in full. Contents mainly complaining about dust from the road and requesting oiling of the road if possible. This matter to be considered in new Budget. City-County Planning ~oard. Rep. John Valenty was present and presented all the Board members with copies of the Master Plan. ~ne Board will study these plans before further discussion on the~. Idaho Power Co.- ~. Sargent of Idaho ~ower Co. was present and exp~essed thanks and appreciation for fine cooperation of the Village with the Power Co. L.T.Clark Apts.- Mr. Clark was present and explained to Board why he i~ad to make a temporary connection to our water system for a day and a half while his well was being repaired. He asked if he could use Village ~ater in the future if necessary and the Board agreed he could if h.e first notified us. C. Underwood- Corner of Chubbuck Road and Highline. Requested that guard rails be put up as he has already had a couple of cars land in his front yard and he wants to k~e pro~ected in the future, especially since Chubbuck Road is Main Hiway now. After discussion it was d~cided to contact the State Hiwa¥ Dept. and see if they wont fix this. Davis is to see them about this matter. Elwood Anderson- h~s a plastic pipe ccnnecticn to his property which is located outside the Village limits. Brennan wants to knaw if the Village is responsible for keeping this plastic pipe in repairs. The pipe is run across a field belonging to Bud Daniel's and as far as we know the Village has no easement to go in there for repairs. Board all agreed the Village is not responsible for Plastic pipe, and McDevitt will write letters to Anderson and Daniel's and explain the situation to them. Yat~ral Gas- representative was not cresent. ~oaction at this ti~e. Mobile Home Owners- Rex Christensen was present and asked the ~oard if anything had been ~one to amend Ordinance ~ ~!~. After discussion all agreed for Christensen to present the proposed amendme~s to th~ Board and they will study them and see if some agreement can be reached Stuart Ave. Intersection with Ye~llo~-~stone Hiway- Trost ex~!&ined that a Street Light is needed there. All agreed and one will be install~ ed soon. Resolution- approving action of General Services Administration in their award of the bid for sale of Yocatello ~aval O~dns~nce Plant~ read in full by }~]cDevitt. Roll call vote,Hillman-ves,Trost-vesDavzs-¥es. Railraod petition~ Village is not involving themselves i~ a railroad dispute. Recessed ~t 9:30 P.'M. subject to call if necessary.
