of Trustees of the Village of Chubbuck, held in the Municipal
Building of th~ Village of Chmbbuck on May 16, 1961
Present- Ward, Hillman, TroUt and Davis and McDevitt.
Absent- Fras~re excused for work.
Purpose- Adopt the resolution to approve the estimate of expenses,
set a date for public h~aring on the question of making a general
tax levy for the Village of Chubbuck for the curren$ fiscal year,
and meet with the Highway Dept. and discuss the new Interstate
Hiway inside the limits of Chubbuck. Called to order 8:10 P.M.
Highway Dept- Representatives of the Highway Dept. were present
and presented maps of the proposed highway through Chubbuck, These
maps were studied and explained in detail to the Board. They
exrlained that it is not the intention ~f the Highway Dept. to be
a barrier on development in the future and that if we should need
'a sewer line under the new highway permission could be granted
providing the work can be done without interferring with traffic.
A long discussion followed but no agreement was signed at this
ti~e.
Estimate of Expenses- was then read in full by the Clerk.
Motion to adopt the estimate of expenses as read made by Hillman,
seconded by Ward. Roll call vote for passage of Estimate of
Expenses as follows- Ward-yes, Hillman-yes, Trost-yes and Davis-
yes.
A resolution for setting the d~y:and place for holding a public
hearing on the question of making a general tax levy for the Village
of Chubbuck for the current fiscal year then read in full by the
Clerk. Motion to adopt the resolution as read made by Hillman,
sec:nded by Ward. Roll call vote for passage of resolution as
follows: Ward-yes,Hillman-yes, Trost-yes, and Davis-yes.
Audit- A municipal audit contract from Dale J:nes was presented
to Board by Clerk. The contract stated a fixed rate p~r day and
the Board decided they would rather have a flat rate for the Audit
and asked the Clerk to contact other C.P.A.'s and ask them to
present the Board with other contracts so they can have something
for ccmparis~n.
Whitaker Road ~xtension- Board decided to wait till next meeting
before any action will be taken.
Meeting r~cessed at 9:4~ P.M. till May 2~, 1961 at 8:0~ P.M.
