Here is some of the things that Chubbuck has done over the last year to show this commitment. We completely updated our website to allow easier access to City records and public information. We have also increased transparency by collecting public input through public surveys, and have conducted 13 surveys over the last year. Some survey examples include internet service (fiber), playground equipment, parks master plan/recreation center, and general feedback. This outreach allowed us to create a strategic plan to help shape the future of the City. The Community voted to name this strategic plan "Our CommUNITY: A great place to live, work, & raise a family". The City of Chubbuck continues to increase the City's Social Media Presence through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Nextdoor, and a newly designed City App; which will allow us to send out emergency notifications and allows the public to have better accessibility with City Hall. Chubbuck currently has 7,312 followers on Facebook, 982 Twitter followers, 522 Instagram followers, 11 YouTube subscribers, and 75 App downloads. The City has realized much success; for example one post reached 63,044 people and had 1,479 shares. The Chubbuck Police implemented the use of Nixle to send out press releases and notices. As well as Alert Sense (reverse 911) to notify residents of emergencies in the community. The City implanted an educational video to help address the community's code enforcement concerns and questions (https://bit.ly/2uWeozo), to celebrate growth in our community (https://bit.l /2YQTg2q), to recognize city employees (https://bit.ly/2VrPbIB), and honor the life of a former mayor (https://bit.ly/2D7COKB). Through the use of our social media the City posts a weekly Mayor's Blog (https://bit.ly/2D4glj0) every Friday to keep the public informed on what's going on at the City, and community news and events. Also through the Mayor's Blog we do a monthly City Department, or a Boards & Commission update (https://bit.ly/2I8HSSY), a community beautification award (https:/ibit.ly/2ZO8afp), and presented the 2019 State of the City Address (https://bit.ly/2Z1K57U) to reach and engage our residents. We have had a tremendous increase of community trust and involvement through the community engagements that we have implemented.
