Meeting started at 7:10 p.m.
Conducted by Dave Higbee
Those in Attendance: Councilman Boyd Fullmer, Mr. Phillip Rumsey,
Dave Higbee, Bill Armstrong and Myrna Cain. Gary Lewis was excused.
Business discussed: Mr. Phillip Rumsey - State considering extending
two way left turn bay, feasibility study to be completed from Pocatello
to South of Syphon Road, also pointed out several possible draw backs -
trucks turning. Also needs to know of the City of Chubbuck response.
Boyd Fullmer - Traffic, Safety and Beautification Committee to accept
additional responsibilities of Parks and Recreation, an ordinance
is being drawn up by city attorney.
Dave Higbee and Myrna Caint to meet with Chubbuck P. T. A. about school
crossing guards and safety program being taught in Elementary Schools.
Traffic, Safety and Beautification Committee - to promote a Safety Poster
contest for Elementary Students at Chubbuck and Tyhee Schools.
Adoption of a Bicycle Ordinance by City of Chubbuck - need to enforce bicycle
laws.
City is pursuing offenders of junk and weeds on property.
City asked if the Traffic, Safety and Beautification Committee meeting could
be moved to Wednesday. Committee felt 2nd Wednesday would be best. Next
meeting September 22, 1976 at 7:30 p.m.
