MINUTES - MARCH 19, 1975
Meeting started at 7:10 p.m.
Conducted by: Dave Higbee
In Attendance: Gary Lewis, Dorothy Worley and Dave Higbee
Members of committee received several comments about the traffic
light at Chubbuck Road and Yellowstone. It was agreed to recommend
to the city council, the traffic light be changed to a flashing
light after 11:00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. A traffic volume study may be
required to establish the proper timing on the lights.
2. Mr. Higbee reviewed a letter to be forwarded to Mayor Cotant
regarding the winter safety for pedestrians contest.
3. A letter advising Mayor Cotant of a safety hazzard on the property
of Carefree Mobile Homes was reviewed. This letter will be for-
warded to the mayor for corrective action.
4. Discussion of Statewide Safety Conference - Discussion of en-
forcement of Motor Vehicle Laws for Bicyclists, by Police Dept.
and registration of bicycles.
5. Recommendation to support drivers education in high schools
for youth.
6. Consideration for safety clubs in the high schools. To be dis-
cussed more when more members in attendance.
7. Discussion of the planning of Uniform Speed laws and Studies
required for city streets.
