HomeMy WebLinkAbout06 08 1965 CM111 Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Chubbuck, held in the Municipal Building of the Village of Chubbuck on June 8, ~965. Present-Ward, Underwood, Hillman~ Christensen, and McDevitt. Called to order 8:05 Minutes of the last regular and two recessed meetings read and approved as read. Bill§ for the month presented to Board. Motion to approve payment of bills made by Chr~stensen, seconded by Hillman. Ail in favor. Financial report for month presented to Board. Trailer Court Ordinance # 54~ Mrs. Foster explained her reason for wanting a Trailer Park. After a long discussion, the Board all agreed that she would be granted a license to operate a Trailer Park if she met all the requirements of Ordinance # 54. She stated that she fully intended to meet all these requirements. Sanitation~ Mrs. Mary l~itaker, ~31 ~.~itaker Road, complained of a neighbor, Marcus Jones, who has built a zorrall practically in her front yard, and his horses have destroyed her trees and rose bushes. Board authorized McDevitt to write a letter to Jones, requesting that he remedy this situation, and if he ignores the letter, a complaint will be signed against him, and he will be cited into court. Joe Brennan complained that his neighbor has 9 horses, 3 cows, 2 pigs, and 8 dog~ on a piece of property less than ¼ acre in size. The stench from this property is unbearable. Motion was made by Ward that they authorize the City Police and City Attorney to give notice to these people that they clean up their yard in ~O days~ and keep it clean thereafter, or a complaint will be signed against them. Motion seconded by Underwood. Ail in favor. Larry Rawlins on East Chubbuck Road complained that one of his neighbors is starting a junk yard. City Folios is to notify the owner that if he wants a junk yard he will have to keep the junk under a roof. Water to Trailer House - Edmund Hokanson would like to buy a piece of property from James Judkin, on Lucky Ave. The property has a Trailer House on it at present, but no one has lived there for 2 years. Board all agreed that we could not turn on the water for Hokanson so he could live in the Trailer House, as this would be a violation of Ordinance ~ 54. Building Code Ordinance - McDevitt stated that this Ordinance is about half done now, and will be ready for reading soon. Park- needs watering and mowing. Hillman will talk to Nice~arner about this. Fire Dept.- Pocatello is intereste~ in working with Chubbuck in fighting fires in northwest section of Pocatello and Chubbuck, if proper arrangements can be worked out for such a venture. Th~s would require meetings of both Pocatello and Chubbuck Boards to discuss this further. Worsencroft Resignation - This will have to be in writing before it can be accepted by the Board. Clerk will check with Worsencrcft on this. Street Repairs- Briscoe Lane. Bids presented to Board as follows: Pocatello Paving Bid $4,O10.OO but did not specify what he means to do. G~dner Associated Inc. gave 2 bids as follows: Water, Roll, Prime and place 2" hot bituminous mat on .5 mile of street 2g! wide. Lump Sum $4,317.56. Water, Roll, Prime with MC 70 at .3 gal. per sq.yd., chip seal coat (RC 3000 asphalt at .25 gal. per sq.yd, and chips at 30 lbs. per sq.yd.) Lump Sum $1,595.62 Noaction at this time as we need other bids for comparison. Meeting recessed at 9:50 P.M. till further notice if necessary. Chairman Pro-Tem Village Clerk
