HomeMy WebLinkAbout09 17 2014 CMCITY OF CHUBBUCK 107 Council Meeting Minutes September 17, 2014 6:00 p.m. Minutes of a regular Council Meeting held at the City of Chubbuck Council Chambers, September 17, 2014. The meeting was called to order at 6:OOpm by Mayor Kevin England. Rich Morgan called the roll. Mayor Kevin England -Present, Councilmembers: Josh Ellis - present, Ryan Lewis -present, Kermit Morrison -present. Councilmember Brent Marshall -absent. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was led by Daniel Wolff. The invocation was given by Hue Suenaga. Approval of the minutes for the council meeting held September 3, 2014 and the study session held September 10, 2014. Councilmember Ellis motioned to approve the minutes. Councilmember Morrison seconded. Roll call vote: Ellis -yes, Lewis -yes, Morrison -yes. The final plan for Bobcat Properties LLC. PUD, located at 207 Briscoe Road was presented to the council. The plan represents the PUD as presented on September 3, 2014 and does include a common area for the outdoor enjoyment of the residents. Councilmember Ellis motioned to approve the final plan for Bobcat Properties LLC. PUD. Councilmember Lewis seconded. Roll call vote: Ellis -yes, Lewis -yes, Morrison -yes. Ordinance #736 annexing the 31.2 acre McNabb parcel for The Academy was presented to the council. Councilmember Ellis motioned to waive the rule the ordinance is to be read on three separate occasions, one reading being in full. Councilmember Morrison seconded. Roll call vote: Ellis -yes, Lewis -yes, Morrison -yes. Councilmember Ellis motioned to adopt ordinance #736. Councilmember Lewis seconded. Roll call vote: Ellis -yes, Lewis -yes, Morrison -yes. Chief King presented the bids received for the Fire Departments purchase of self contained breathing apparatus. There were four companies solicited for bids. One did not respond, another was not interested in bidding. Of the two bids received, one did not meet the specifications of the bid. The bid from Municipal Emergency Services Inc. in the amount of $228,275 for 28 breathing apparatus is the only qualified bid. Councilmember Ellis motioned to accept the bid from Municipal emergency Services and added additional $11,060 for 28 voice amplifiers. Councilmember Morrison seconded. Roll call vote: Ellis -yes, Lewis -yes, Morrison -yes. Computer printout claims for September 17, 2014 were presented to the Mayor and Council approval and payment. Councilmember Ellis moved to approve the claims for September 17, 2014 as published. Councilmember Morrison seconded. Roll call vote: Ellis -yes, Lewis -yes, Morrison -yes.
