Council Meeting Minutes
August 20, 2014
6:00 p.m.
Minutes of a regular Council Meeting held at the City of Chubbuck Council Chambers, August
20, 2014. The meeting was called to order at 6:OOpm by Mayor Kevin England.
Rich Morgan called the roll. Mayor Kevin England -present, Councilmembers: Josh Ellis -
present, Ryan Lewis -present, Brent Marshall -present, Kermit Morrison -present.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was led by Councilmember Ellis.
The Invocation was given by McKay Ellis.
Approval of Minutes. Councilmember Morrison moved to approve the regular meeting minutes
of August 6, 2014 and the Study Session Minutes of August 13, 2014. Council member
Marshall seconded. Roll call vote: Ellis -yes, Lewis -yes, Marshall -yes, Morrison -yes.
The bids for the foundation of the City's salt shed were presented to the council. Bids were
received from Dykeman Construction, Cornerstone Concrete and Guerrero Brothers.
Councilmember Lewis moved to award the bid to Dykeman Construction, the low bidder, and to
authorize the Mayor to enter into contract with Dykeman Construction for construction of the
salt shed foundation. Council member Marshall seconded. Roll Call Vote: Ellis -yes, Marshall -
yes, Morrison -yes, Lewis -yes.
City Clerk Rich Morgan reviewed the list of documents to be destroyed. All records have met
the record retention schedule set by the State and adopted by the City in resolution.
Council member Morrison moved to approve the destruction of the documents listed. Council
member Lewis seconded. Roll Call Vote: Ellis -yes, Marshall -yes, Morrison -yes, Lewis -yes.
Councilmember Ellis stated that Allstate is looking to expand the number of employees at the
facility in Chubbuck. Councilmember Marshall expressed some concern over the direction the
council meeting pledges and invocations.
Computer print-out claims for August 20, 2014 were presented to the Mayor and Council for
approval and payment. Council member Marshall moved to approve the claims for August 20,
2014 as published. Council member Ellis seconded. Roll Call Vote: Ellis -yes, Marshall -yes,
Morrison -yes, Lewis -yes.
At 6:27pm Mayor England adjourned the meeting.
