HomeMy WebLinkAbout08 14 2012 POP Advertisement for Bids Water Line Crossing BorePROOF OF PUBLICATION STATE OF IDAHO County of Bannock LN19886 CITY OF CHU13SUCK ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS PROJECT TITLE: 1-86 Water Line Cross- ing Bore Separate sealed BIDS for Water pipeline boring crossing of 1-86 located at Chub - buck, Idaho and other related work as set forth in the Contract documents for I- 86 Water Line Crossing Bore will be re- ceived by City of Chubbuck at 5160 Yel- lowstone Ave, Chubbuck, Idaho, until 2:04 p.m. local time on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The work involves a bore of approximate- ly 280 feet across 1-86, together with in- stalling casing pipe and water line carri- er pipe. It is the intent of these docu- ments to describe the work required to complete this project in sufficient detail to secure comparable bids. All parts or work not specifically mentioned which are necessary in order to provide a complete installation shall be included in the bid and shall conform to all Local, State and Federal requirements. The PROJECT MANUAL, DRAWINGS and EXHIBITS may be examined or ob- tained at the office of the Public Works Director, City of Chubbuck, Idaho, 5160 Yellowstone Ave. Copies of these docu- ments may be purchased for a non-re- fundable fee of $20.00. A CD of elec- tronic copies may be purchased for a non-refundable fee of $5.00. In determining the lowest responsive bid, the owner will consider all acceptable bids on a basis consistent with the bid package. The owner will also consider whether the bidder is a responsible bid- der. Before a contract will be awarded for work contemplated herein, the owner will conduct such investigation as is neces- sary to determine the performance record and ability of the apparent tow bidder to perform the size and type of work specified under this Contract. Upon request, the Bidder shall submit such information as deemed necessary' by the Owner to evaluate the Bidderil�s' qualifications. All bids must be signed and accompanied by evidence of authority to sign, - Bids must be accompanied by Bid Securi- ty in the form of a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check or cash in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid proposal. Said bid se- curity shall be forfeited to the City of Chubbuck as liquidated damages should the successful bidder fail to enter into contract in accordance with their proposal as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Chubbuck reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bids re- ceived, and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the best interest of the City of Chubbuck.
