COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
June 18, 1985
Minutes of special council meeting held in the city municipal building,
June 19, 1985.
Present: Mayor John 0. Cotant, Jr., Councilmembers Leroy S. Quick, Thomas S.
Nield, Steven M. England, Attorney B. Lynn Winmill and City Clerk Ron C.
Conlin. Councilwoman Becky A. Hopkins and Engineer Steven M. Smart was
excused.
Meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
PURPOSE OF MEETING is to consider the following: 1) Fireworks Applications -
R. R. McHaffey, Galaxie Dist. Co., Dixieland Cloggers, Ed Wood -Dennis
Greener, Lloyd F. Stubbs and Intermountain 4 -Wheelers. 2) Chubbuck
Lions Club to operate a Circus on July 7 in addition to July 8, 1985.
3) Joint Cable Agreement.
FIREWORKS PERMITS - Fireworks Permit Applications have been recieved from the
following: Galaxie Dist Co. -at Smith's Food King, Ed Wood, Dennis Greener -
at 4460 North Yellowstone Ave., Lloyd F. Stubbs - at Green Triangle Parking
Lot, Dixieland Cloggers - 4544 Yellowstone Ave., Intermountain 4 Wheelers -
Vacant Lot between Gem Typewriter and Smith Food King, R. R. McHaffey -
Pine Ridge Mall.
Councilman Nield and Attorney Winmill reviewed the certificate of insurance
presented by each of the applicants.
After discussion it was decided that none of the applicants provided the required
insurance.
Councilman England moved to approved the Fireworks Permits to Galaxie Dist.,
Ed Wood -Dennis Greener, Lloyd F. Stubbs, Dixieland Cloggers, Intermountain
4 Wheelers and R. R. McHaffey subject to the applicants providing the City of
Chubbuck with additional riders that would include products liability insurance
as required by the fireworks ordinance and to name the City of Chubbuck, officers
and agents as additional assured and subject to Councilman Nield's and Attorney
Winmill's review and approval of the certificate of insurance. Councilmanu.ick:.
seconded. All Councilmembers present voted in favor of the motion.
BUSINESS LICENSE APPLICATION - The Chubbuck Lions Club presented an application to
Mayor Cotant and Council to operate a circus at 4708 Yellowstone Ave. on the
8th of July, 1985, the Council granted the Chubbuck Lions Club a business license
to operate the circus on the 8th of July. Mr. Casey Hogan contacted City Clerk
Ron Conlin and asked that the circus be opened on the 7th of July also.
After discussion Councilman Quick moved to grant the business license to the
Chubbuck Lions Club to operate a circus at 4708 Yellowstone Ave. on the 7th and
8th of July, 1985. Councilman England seconded. Roll Call Vote: Nield, yes;
Quick, yes; England, yes; Hopkins, absent.
AGREEMENT 7 POCATELLO-CHUBBUCK-AREA CABLE COMMISSION - Attorney Winmill stated he
would like to get authorization from the Council to direct Mayor Cotant and
City Clerk Conlin to execute the agreement presented to the Council at the
June 5, 1985 Council Meeting,

AGREEMENT - POCATELLO-CHUBBUCK-AREA CABLE COMMISSION - (Cont.)
Councilman Quick made motion to authorize Mayor Cotant to enter into agree---
ment with the City of Pocatello for the establishment of a Joint Cable
Commission, on the terms set forth in the agreement presented at the June 5,
1985 Council Meeting with the exception of changing the name of the commission
to The Pocatello-Chubbuck-Area Cable Commission. Councilman England seconded.
All Councilmembers present voted in favor of the motion.
At 6:00 p.m., Councilman Nield moved, Councilman Quick seconded, with full
council approval to adjorn the meeting.

CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50-604, the undersigned
Mayor of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, hereby calls a special
meeting of the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck City
Municipal Building, 5160 Yellowstone Ave., at the hour of 5:00 p.m.,
on this date the 18th of June, 1985. The object of the special
meeting shall be to consider the following: 1) Fireworks Applications -
R. R. McHaffey, Galaxie Dist Co., Dixieland Cloggers, Ed blood -Dennis
Greener, Lloyd F. Stubbs and Intermountain 4 -Wheelers. 2) Chubbuck
Lions Club operate a Circus on July 7 in addition to July 8, 1985.
3) Joint Cable Agreement.

Pursuant to the call set forth above, notice is hereby given
of a special meeting of the Chubbuck City Council at the time and place,
and for the object, recited in the call.
