COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
JULY 15, 1983
Minutes of a special meeting held in the city municipal building
July 15, 1983.
Present: Mayor John 0. Cotant, Jr., Councilmembers Becky A. Hopkins,
Dwain A. Kinghorn, Leroy S. Quick, Public Works Director,
Steven M. Smart, Attorney B. Lynn Winmill, and City Clerk,
Ron C. Conlin. Councilman Thomas S. Nield was excused from meeting.
Meeting called to order at 9:04 a.m. by Mayor Cotant.
PURPOSE OF MEETING: Shall be to pass a Resolution of Intention
to create a Homestead Road Local Improvement District.
RESOLUTION #5 -83 - Mayor Cotant read in full Resolution #5 -83.
Mayor and Councilmembers discussed the resolution.
Councilwoman Hopkins moved to adopt Resolution #5 -83,
Intention to create a Homestead Road Local Improvement
District. Councilman Quick seconded the motion. Roll Call
vote: Hopkins, yes; Kinghorn, yes; Quick, yes; Nield, absent.
Councilwoman Hopkins moved, Councilman Quick seconded, with
Councilmembers to adjorn meeting at 9:58 a.m.
