Cotant, Council members Leroy S. Quick, Steven M. England, Marvin C. Gunter, Attorney Thomas J. Holmes and City Clerk Ron C. Conlin. Councilman B. Kent Kearns was excused. PURPOSE OF SPECIAL MEETING is to discuss 1999 -2000 Fiscal Year Tentative Budget. 1999 -2000 FISCAL YEAR TENTATIVE BUDGET - City Clerk Ron Conlin presented the proposed 1999 -2000 FY Tentative Budget. Projected General Fund Revenues Projected General Fund Expenditures $ 3,512,633. $ 3,684,059. Negative $ - 171,426. Projected HS &R Revenues Projected HS &R Expenditures $ 552,496. $ 552,496. Balanced Projected Sanitation Revenues Projected Sanitation Expenditures $ 625,000. $ 625,000. Balanced Projected Water Revenues Projected Water Expenditures $ 1,157,018. $ 1,157,018. Balanced Projected Sewer Revenues Projected Sewer Expenditures 845,625. $. 845,000. Balanced City Clerk Conlin reported the General Fund is the only negative on the 1999 -2000 FY Tentative Budget. Mayor Cotant stated it has been four years since the salaries of the Mayor and Council ,^ have been increased, suggesting the Council salary be raised to $460.00 per month and the Mayor's salary be raised to $1,250. per month. 135 SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES - (cont.) August 10`h., 1999 1999 -2000 FY TENTATIVE BUDGET - (cont.) Council discussed possibility of using $61,827. of tax increment monies in Parks Department for Capital Improvement Projects. Using the tax increment monies, will leave a deficit in the General Fund of $109,599. After discussion, City Clerk Ron Conlin was directed to ask Police, Fire and Parks Departments to cut a percentage from each of their budgets. City Clerk Conlin stated the public hearing for the 1999 -2000 FY Budget has been published for the August 24`h., 1999, Council Meeting at 7:30 p.m. At 7:25 p.m., Councilman Quick moved, Councilman Gunter seconded, with full council approval to adjourn meeting. 441 on O.
