AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO, AMENDING
ORDINANCE NUMBER 77 TO CHANGE THE TERMS OF OFFICE OF
MEMBERS OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION TO PROVIDE THAT
ONE MEMBER OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION MAY RESIDE
OUTSIDE THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK AND DE-
CLARING AN EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of
Chubbuck, Idaho:
Section 1: That Section 1, sub paragraph 1-2 of Ordinance
No. 77 of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, passed on the 28th day of
May, 1968, be modified to read as follows:
Membership: The Planning Commission shall consist of seven
members to be appointed by the Mayor with the consent and approval
of the Council, on of which members shall be a member of the
Council, provided further that one member appointed shall also
be ~a member of the Bannock County Planning Committee.
Terms of Office: The Member who is a member of the Council
shall serve for an indefinite time at the pleasure of the Mayor
and other members of the Council. The other such members shall
serve as follows: three of such members shall serve for a term of
two years and three members shall serve a term of four years, the
respective terms of office to be determined by lot at the first
meeting held after the effective date of this Ordinance. There-
after the term of office for each appointive member shall be for
four years.
Residence Requirements: One member of the Commission may be
a non-resident of the City of Chubbuck who resides within one
mile of the City limits of the City of Chubbuck, all other mem-
bers shall be residents and taxpayers of the City of Chubbuck.
Section '2: An emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
upon its passage, approval and publica~on as provided by law.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO, this
