COUNCIL ~IEETING MINUTES
August 19, 1980
Minutes of a special council meeting called by the mayor and council
and held in the city municipal building, August 19, 1980,
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Councilmembers Becky Hopkins, Dwain
A. Kinghorn, Le Roy S. Quick, Earl L. Romriell, Engineer Steven Smart
and City Clerk Vera C. Armstrong.
fleeting called to order by Mayor Cotant at 4:10 p,m.
Pursuant to a call of a special meeting by the mayor and council, the
purpose of the meeting is to hold a workshop on budget and for tentative
approval of proposed budget.
The proposed revenues for the budget were reviewed in their entirety.
The proposed expenditures for all funds and accounts within the General
Fund and t'!aterworks, Sanitation and Sewage Funds were reviewed.
Councilman Romriell moved to approve the proposed budget as the tentative
budget for fiscal year 1989 - 81.
Councilman Quick seconded motion with all councilmembers voting in favor.
A copy attached to minutes.
Councilman Kinghorn moved, Councilman nuick seconded, with all council
members approving, that meeting adjourn at 6:15 p.m.
