HomeMy WebLinkAbout09 15 1981 CMCOUNCIL ~ETING MINUTES September 15, 1981 113 Minutes of the adjourned council meeting of September 8, 1981 held in the city municipal building September 15, 1981. Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Councilmembers Becky A. Hopkins, Dwain A. Kinghorn, LeRoy S. Quick, Earl L. Romriell and Secretary Dorothy L. Ward. Meeting called to order at 8:50 p.m. by Mayor Cotant. Mayor Cotant stated the purpose of the meeting was to work on the draft of the land Use Ordinance. City Council members discussed having Ordinance 185 be updated to coincide with the Land Use Ordinance in the following areas: 1. Increase license fee for 3 or more dogs. 2. Change from 4 months to 6 months for licensing of dogs. 3. Have holding time for dog from 5 days to 3 days. 4. Eliminate temporary licensing of dogs. 5. Licensing to be from January to December each year. 6. If dog held for hearing, owner to pay all expenses. In the Land Use Ordinance the following items were discussed: Section 1-5 Definitions - Have a Kennel defined . (s)"Site Building", change wording to read-intended for residential structure which is primarily fabricated at the site where it is intended for hunanoccupancy. Page 5, Section 2-1: (c) livestock should be included, as noted in (b). Page 11, Section 3-2: (c), second line to read , no more than eighty (80) feet from any lot line. Page 12, Section 3-3: 300 feet from abutting property, even though they are housed in sound proof structures. * Chemicals in Page 13, Section 3-3: (3), (d), Storage area to be marked fire hazard. Page 18, Section 3-4: (c), reword from - without current license plates shall not be parked or stored in any residential district other than in a completely enclosed garages or carports. (b) Animal Care Sites -- (1) to be amended to read * ADDITIOI~, Page 19, Section 3-4: (h) after (1) add, additional motor vehicles, campers, trailer, boat, etc. Councilman Kinghornmovedmeeting adjourn at 10:30 p.m. until Tuesday, September 22, 1981, at 6:30 p.m. Voting was unanimous.
