HomeMy WebLinkAbout05 12 1981 CM 67 COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES May 12, 1981 Minutes of the regular council meeting held in the city municipal building May 12, 1981. Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Councilmembers Becky A. Hopkins, Dwain A. Kinghorn, LeRoy S. Quick, Earl L. Romriell, Attorney Donald L. Burnett, Jr., Engineer Steven M. Smart and City Clerk Vera C. Armstrong. Councilwoman Hopkins excused until 9:15 p.m. Meeting called to order at 8:00 p.m. Mayor Cotant asked for corrections or additions to minutes of April 29, 1981. Councilman Romriell moved to approve minutes of April 28 meeting. Councilman Kinghorn seconded motion. Vote was unanimous in favor of motion. DESIGN REVIEW PERMIT - John C. Croly, Sign Systems Inc. has made application for a Design Review Permit for a sign at the Green Triangle, 4010 Yellowstone. The Land Use and Land Development Commission recommended approval on the design review permit. After reviewing, Councilman Romriell moved to approve the Design Review Permit application of Sign Systems Inc. to be placed at the Green Triangle. Councilman Quick seconded motion. Voting was unanimous in favor of motion. Councilwoman Hopkins was not present at voting. PURCHASE OF BLUPRINT MACHINE - Consideration - Engineer Smart explained the costs and operation of four blueprint machines he has had demon- strations on, with price differences being around $250.00. Councilman Quick moved to approve the purchase of a blueprint machine of the mayor and engineers choice. Councilman Romriell seconded motion. All councilmembers voted in favor of motion. Councilwoman Hopkins attended meeting at 9:15 p.m. GENERAL DISCUSSIONS: 1. Clean-up of Parks. 2. Chubbuck Days Plans-Councilwoman Hopkins made a progress report. 3. Sewage Agreement South of 1-86. 4. Telephone System 5, Need for personnel policy 6. Need to update Fire Protection Agreements APPROVAL TO SEND OFFICER TO TRAINING SCHOOL - Chief Stone has requested consideration of sending Officer Moore to a week training course in Boise starting June 9th. Councilman Romriell moved to approve sending Officer Moore to this Seminar. Councilwoman Hopkins seconded motion with an unanimous vote in favor. CLAIMS to be paid in May presented to Mayor and Council Councilman Kinghorn moved to approve all claims presented. Councilman Quick seconded motion. All councilmember/~s~voted in favor.
