Minutes of the adjourned council meeting of March 10, 1981 held in the
city municipal building March 17, 1981.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Councilmembers Becky A. Hopkins, Dwain A. Kinghorn, LeRoy S. Quick, Earl L. Romriell, Attorney Donald
L. Burnett, Jr., Engineer Steven M. Smart and City Clerk Vera C Armstrong.
Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m.
Purpose of adjourned meeting is for further consideration of the Sign
Ordinance. The ordinance was read in full with some additional amend-
ments being agreed upon. Attorney Burnett will have ordinance retyped
and will be placed on March 24 council agenda.
General Matters Discussed;
1) Mayor Cotant read and signed a proclamation designating the month
of March as American Red Cross month.
2) Mayor Cotant read a letter from Max Parrish commending Officer Jerry
Rowland in his duties as an officer.
3) Need for meeting with Hendersons regarding sewer easement.
4) Employee policy.
5) Review of Land Use Amendments to be adopted.
Councilman Quick moved, Councilwoman Hopkins seconded, with full council
approval to adjourn meeting at 10:15 p.m.
