Minutes of a special public hearing council meeting held in the city
municipal building, August 31, 1982.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Councilmembers Becky A. Hopkins,
Dwain A. Kinghorn, LeRoy S. Quick, Thomas S. Nield and City Clerk
Vera C. Armstrong.
Meeting called to order at 7:40 p.m, by Mayor Cotant.
Purpose of special public hearing meeting is for consideration of
the proposed budget for fiscal period October 1, 1982 thru September
30, 1983.
The budget was ~eviewed and studied by Mayor and Councilmembers.
ORDINANCE #235, AoDrooriatinq the several sums of money deemed necessary
and sufficient to defray all expenses and liabilities of the City
of Chubbuck for the Fiscal year beqinninq on the 1st day of October
1982, and endinq on the 30th day of Seotember~ 1983, and known
as the "Annual Appropriation Ordinance of Fiscal Year 1982-83"
was read in full by Mayor Cotant.
Councilwoman Hopkins moved to dispense with rule of reading Ordinance
#235 on three separate days. Councilman Quick seconded motion.
Roll call vote: Hopkins, yes; Kinghorn, yes; Quick, yes; Nield,
yes.
Councilman Kinghorn moved to Adopt Ordinance #235, Annual Appropriation
Ordinance of Fiscal Year 1982-83, Councilman Quick seconded motion.
Roll call vote: Hopkins, yes; Kinghorn, yes; Quick, yes; Nield,
yes.
RESOLUTZON #9-82, certifying to the County Auditor of Bannock County
the amount of dollars to be levied against all taxable property
in Chubbuck for the 1982-83 budget year, was read in full by Mayor
Cotant.
Councilwoman Hopkins moved to adopt Resolution #8-82. Councilman
Nield seconded motion. Roll call vote: Hopkins, yes; Kinghorn,
yes; Quick, yes; Nield, yes.
GENERAL DISCUSSIONS:
l) Review of hearinq on Terry Goodwin's dog.
2) Chubbuck Days.
COUNCILMAN QUICK moved, Councilman Kinqhorn seconded motion, with
full council approval to adjourn meetinq at 9:30 p.m.
