COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
August 3, 1982
Minutes of the adjourned meeting of July 29, 1982 h31e in the city municipal
building August 3, 1982.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Councilmembers Dwain A. Kinghorn,
Thomas S. Nield, LeRoy S. Quick, Attorney B. Lynn Winmill, Public
Works Director Steven M. Smart and City Clerk Vera C. Armstrong.
Councilmember Becky A. Hopkins excused.
Meeting called to order at 4:50 p.m. by Mayor Cotant. Purpose of
adjourned meeting is to continue discussion on the proposed Land
Use Ordinance.
Attorney Winmill presented a copy of some proposed revisions to
Land Use Ordinance concerning Section 1-5: Definitions of Hobby
and Commercial Kennels., 2) Schedule of General Controls on Land
Used for Hobby and Commercial Kennels., and 3) Section 3-3:
Supplemental Controls for Particular Uses which also covered
commercial kennels and hobby kennels.
Proposals were read in full by Mayor Cotant and consensus of Mayor
and council was approval of the proposals.
Other discussions pertained to Production Dwellings, and the proposal
presented by Attorney Winmill at the July 29 meeting was read in
full. After some duscussion, mayor and council gave Attorney Winmill
approval of the production dwelling provisions as presented.
