April 6, 1982
Minutes of the adjourned meeting of March 23, 1982 held in the city municipal
building April 6, 1982.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Councilmembers Dwain A. Kinghorn, LeRoy
S. Quick, Councilwoman Becky A. Hopkins at 8:00 p.m., Attorney B. Lynn
Winmill, Public Works Director Steven M. Smart, City Clerk Vera C.
Armstrong. Councilman Nield was excused.
Meeting called to order at 7:10 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
LAND USE ORDINANCE DRAFT - Draft was studied by those present beginning
at page llA to the end of ordinance. Particular emphasis was given
to kennels, phasing out over two dogs other than in kennels, zero
lot line development, mobile home court minimum requirements, and
screening requirements between residential and industrial and commercial
zones.
MEETING SET - Mayor and Council decided to meet with the full police
department Thursday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in reference to ordinance
enforcement.
At 10:20 p.m., Councilwoman Hopkins moved, Kinghorn seconded to adjourn
meeting until Thursday afternoonS-4:00 p.m.
