COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
June 4, 1985
Minutes of special council meeting held in the city municipal building,
June 4, 1985.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Councilmembers Becky A. Hopkins, Leroy S.
Quick, Thomas S. Nield~ Steven M. England, Attorney B. Lynn Winmill, Engineer
Steven M Smart and City Clerk Ron C. Conlin.
Meeting called to order at 4:15 p,m. by Mayor Cotant.
PURPOSE OF MEETING is to consider the following: 1) Approval of May 28, 1985
Council Meeting Minutes. 2) Cotant Park Tennis Court Pavinq Contract.
3) Recreation Department - Dave Sherman. 4) Computer Print-out and Hand-
check claims approval.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Mayor Cotant asked for corrections and additions to the
minutes of Hay 28, 1985.
Councilman England moved to approve the May 28, 1985 minutes as read.
Councilwoman Hopkins seconded. All councilmembers present at the May 28, 1985
Council Meeting voted in favor of motion.
COTANT PARK TENNIS COURT PAVING CONTRACT - Engineer Smart stated he has advertized
for bid the project to pave the Cotant Park Tennis Court and the bids will be
opened on June 11, 1985, at 2:00 p.m.
Engineer Smart stated he would open the bids on June 11 and there should be a
motion to authorize President of the Council Becky A. Hopkins to enter into
an agreement with the lowest responsible bidder.
Councilman Quick moved to authorize Councilwoman Hopkins to sign the Cotant Park
Tennis Court Paving Contract upon the reciept of the lowest responsible bidder.
Engineer Smart stated he would open the bids on June 11, 1985. Councilman Nield
seconded. All councilmembers voted in favor of motion.
RECREATION DEPARTMENT - Dave Sherman was present to answer questions Mayo~ Cotant
and Council might have about the Chubbuck Recreation Summer - 1985.
Councilman England asked Dave Sherman to contact Karen Nield and Charles Burrup
and they will be able to give him ideas for this years Tee Ball Program.
Dave Sherman passed to Mayor Cotant and Council a Chubbuck Recreation Schedule
for 1985. Considerable discussion about the 1985 schedule.
Mr. Sherman said he would attend the Staff Meetings on Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m.
Mr. Sherman said he would contact Dick Webb and work with him in regards to the
Bicycle Safety Program.
Mayor Cotant expressed concern about accounting of baseball uniforms. Mr. Sherman
stated the parent should sign out for the uniform at the front of the year and
if the uniform is not returned at the end of the year the parent will b~ billed
for the uniform.
CLAIMS - Computer and Handcheck Claims have been present to Mayor Cotant and Council.
After discussion Councilman Nield moved to approve the computer and handcheck claims

as read with the addition of $375.00 for the first of four payments to Dave
Sherman for Recreation Director payment. Councilwoman Hopkins seconded.
All councilmembers present voted in favor of motion.
At 6:00 p.m., Councilman England moved, Councilwoman Hopkins seconded, with full
council approval to adjourn the meeting.

CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50-604, the undersigned
Mayor of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, hereby calls a special
meeting of the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck City
Municipal Building, 5160 Yellowstone Ave., at the hour of 4:00 p.m.,
on this date the 4th of June, 1985. The object of the special
meeting shall be to consider the following: 1) Approval of May 28,
1985 Council Meeting Minutes. 2) Cotant Park Tennis Court Paving Contract.
3) Recreation Department - Dave Sherman. 4) Computer Print-out and Hand-
check claims approval.

Pursuant to the call set forth above, notice is hereby given
of a special meeting of the Chubbuck City Council at the time and place,
and for the object, recited in the call.
