August 15, 1989
Minutes of a special meeting held in the city municipal building, August 15,
1989
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Councilmen Dwain Kinghorn, Steve England~
LeRoy S. Quick, Dwain A. Kinghorn, and David Landon, Public Works Direct(
Steven M. Smart, Police detectives Jerry Rowland and Scott Birch; Fire
Chief Cary Campbell, Fireman Charlies Picket and deputy clerk Myrna Crap(
Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Mayor Cotant
PURPOSE OF SPECIAL MEETING is to discuss the 1989-90 fiscal year budget.
The police department requested that $16,830.99 of the available $33,415.00
money be given to them for their 1989-1990 fiscal budget.
Steve Smart explained that the fire departments budget was out of b~lance
by $13,200.00. This is due to the addition of the truck payments and the
salaries figure going back to a two years previous total.
Dwain Kinghorn reviewed portions of the budget that he had questions about.
Why under our revenues Fund Rasiers did not show a amount
why there was not an amount under Ball Sponsorship fees
Why we had not Listed the refund from workman's compensentation
Mayors salary was not enough
Sidewalk maintenance figure was too low
Request from "Aids for Firends" for $1,000.00. It was decided
they should get $500.00.
A discussion was had on the opening of the budget again.
At 8:05 pm Steven England moved,
the meeting.
Councilman Landon seconded to adjourn

CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50-604, the undersigned Mayor
of the City of Chubbuck Idaho, hereby calls a special meeting of
the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck City Municipal
Building, 5160 Yellowstone Ave., at the hour of 6:00 p.m., on the
15th, day of August, 1989. The object of the special meeting shall
be to discuss 1989-90 Fiscal Year Budget.

Pursuant to the call set forth above, notice is hereby given
of a special meeting of the Chubbuck City Council at the time and
place, and for the object, recited in the call.
