COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
October 9, 1990
Minutes of regular meeting held in the city municipal building,
October 9, 1990.
Present: Mayor John O.~otant,'~ Jr., Council members Leroy ~.~
Quick, Steven M. England, W. Dean Wood and City Clerk Ron
Conlin. Councilman David A. Landor, Attorney' Thomas J. Holmes
and Public Works Director Steven M. Smart was excused.
Meeting was called to order at 7:33 p.m. by Mayor John O. Cotant.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Mayor Cotant asked for corrections or
additions to the regular meeting minutes of September
1990.
Councilman Wood moved to approve the minutes as read.
Councilman England seconded. All council members present voted
in favor of motion.
BUSINESS LICENSE APPLICATION - Gerald T. Murphy, 768 Curtis,
Blackfoot, Idaho has applied for license to sell t-shirts at
4010 Yellowstone Ave. (formerly Triangle Service Gas Station).
Mr. Murphy explained his plans on selling the t-shirts.

Mr. Murphy stated he has a State Sales Tax Number.
Councilman England moved to approve a business license to
Gerald T. Murphy, 768 Curtis, Blackfoot, idaho to sell t-
shirts on lot at 4030 Yellowstone Ave. Councilman Wood
seconded. All council members present voted in favor of
motion.
ORDINANCE - An ordinance, amending Section 5.04.020 of the Chubbuck
Municipal Code to provide for recovery of costs incurred in
investigating applicants for business licenses; to require
proof of an Idaho Sales Tax Number by applicants.
Mayor Cotant read the ordinance in full for the second
reading.
City Clerk Conlin was directed to check other cities, business
license fees and report at next council meeting.

After discussion, the council decided to table %he ordinance
until the, October 23, 1990 Council Meeting.
CLAIMS - Computer print-out and hand check claims presented to
Mayor Cotant and Council.
After discussion, Councilman Quick moved to approve computer
print-out and hand check claims as read. Councilman Wood
seconded. All council members present voted in favor of
motion.
GENERAL DISCUSSION -
Mayor Cotant and Council

current budget, for rev'Jew and
1990 Council Meeting.
Mayor Cotant and Council received a 3opy of "State per
diem allowances", changes adopted July 1,1990.
FINANCIAL REPORT for month of September presented to Mayor Cotant
and Council.
At 7:57 p.m., Councilman England moved, Councilman Quick seconded,
with full council approval to adjourn meeting.
