Minutes of a special meeting held in the city municipal building,
August 14, 1990.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Council members Leroy S. ~
Quick, David A. Landon, W. Dean Wood, Public Works Director
Steven M. Smart, and City Clerk Ron C. Conlin. Council member
Steven M. England was excused.
Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
PURPOSE OF MEETING shall be to discuss 1990-1991 Fiscal Year
Budget.
1990-1991 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET DISCUSSION - City Clerk Ron Conlin
presented a balanced tentative budget to Mayor Cotant and
Council for review and discussion.
Police Chief Arnold Stone and Asst. Police Chief Jerry Rowland
was present to present 1990-91 budget requests.
AC Rowland stated the department would like to add an officer,
which would be an additional $18,500., plus benefits. AC
Rowland said at one time the City had the additional man, but~
because of shortage of funds, we deleted the officer and
operated with 11 police officers. AC Rowland stated, without
the officer, the police department will have to cut some
other areas, such as crime prevention, selective response to
calls and maybe even animal control.
Council will take request under advisement.
At 6:50 p.m., Councilman Landon moved, Councilman Wood seconded,

CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50-604, the undersigned Mayor
of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, hereby calls a special meeting of
the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck Municipal Building,
5160 Yellowstone Avenue, at the hour of 6:00 p.m., on the 14th day,
of August, 1990. The object of the special meeting shall to
discuss 1990-1991 Fiscal Year Budget.
