Minutes of a special meeting held in the city municipal building,
June 20, 1990.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Council members Steven M.
England, David A. Landon, W. Dean Wood, Attorney Thomas J.
Holmes, and City Clerk Ron C. Conlin. Council member Leroy S.
Quick and Public Works Director Steven M. Smart was excused.
Meeting was called to order at 7:40 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
PURPOSE OF MEETING shall be to 1. Canvass votes of Special Chubbuck
Fire Station Bond Election. 2. Fireworks Permit Applications -
a) Pyrodyne American Corporation, 4845 Yellowstone Ave. b)
Discount Fireworks, Yellowstone Ave. & Quinn Rd. c) Jerry's
Four Wheeler, 4841 Yellowstone Ave. d) Kellie & Anita Willie,
4601 Yellowstone Ave. & 4010 Yellowstone Ave. 3. Computer
print-out and hand check claims.
CANVASS OF ELECTION RESULTS The Special Fire Station Bond
Election held, June 19, 1990 was to authorize the city to
issue bonds in the amount of $500,000.00. The ballot box
holding the supplies was unlocked and sealed envelope, plus
pad with first unused ballot was opened. Council members
checked Election Record and Poll Book, Combined Tally Lists
and Official Record Book, ballots and ballot pads.
After a thorough canvass of the election records, Councilman
England moved to adopt Resolution #5-90 as read, accepting
the tabulation of votes as prepared by the Election Judge and
Clerks and proclaim the results as final. Councilman Landon
seconded. All council members present voted in favor of
motion.
Tabulation of votes as follows: Yes, 502; No, 199; Not
counted, 2. 71.6% in favor. 28.4% opposed.
Councilman England moved to approve minutes of Bond Election
Canvass proceedings prepared by Bond Counselors, Ray, Quinney
& Nebeker. Councilman Landon seconded. All council members
present voted in favor of motion.
FIREWORKS PERMIT APPLICATIONS - The following applicants have
applied to sell fireworks in fireworks stands at the following
locations:
1. Pyrodyne American Corporation to locate at: 4845
Yellowstone Ave.

Councilman Wood moved to approve the above fireworks permit
applications as presented, subject to Fire Department

Councilman England seconded. All council members present voted
in favor of motion.

Mayor Cotant and Council.
Councilman Landon moved to approve computer print-out and hand
check claims as presented. Councilman Wood seconded. All
council members present voted in favor of motion.
At 8:10 p.m., Councilman England moved, Councilman Landon seconded,
with full council approval to adjourn meeting.

CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50-604, the undersigned Mayor
of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, hereby calls a special meeting of
the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck Municipal Building,
5160 Yellowstone Avenue, at the hour of 7:00 p.m., on the 20th day,
of June, 1990. The object of the special meeting shall to 1)

TO: MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO.
Pursuant to the call set forth above, notice is hereby given
of a special meeting of the Chubbuck City Council at the time and
place, and for the object, recited in the call.
