Minutes of a special Planning and Zoning Commission meeting held in the
city municipal building September 10, 197A.
Purpose of meeting is to take action on public hearing request which was
not handled September 5th because of a lack of quorum.
Present: Chairman James Branson, Commission members Allen Martin, Del
Peters, Jack Menard and Larry Rawlins
Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Branson.
Minutes of August i meeting read and approved as written.
PUBLIC HEARING IT~4: Dan E. and Ellen E. Kurtz are requesting a conditional
~use permit to build a four plex unit at &21 Whitaker Road. Commission
questioned and discussed placement of unit with regards to side yard,
driveway and distance between four plex untis.
Allen Martin recommended city council approve conditional use request
to construct four plex with condition-curb, gutter and sidewalk be
installed. Rodney Parrish seconded motion with an unanimous vote in
favor of motion.
REZONING OF MOBILE MANOT LOTS - Mayor Cotant told Planning and Zoning
Commission the council would like to discuss what type of homes or style
of mobile homes might be acceptable on the Mobile Manor Lots facing
East Chubbuck Road. Mayor Cotant suggested a type of trailer with
gable end construction or pitched roofs with trailers required to face
Chubbuck Road. There would be fewer lots available to develop if mobile
homes were required to face Chubbuck Road, however, Mayor Cotant stated
he felt the residents on north side of Chubbuck Road would accept mobile
homes on these lots if these requirements weremet. A discussion followed
on the suggestion.
LACK OF QUORUM AT MEETINGS - Commission member Jack Menard suggested the
Planning and Zoning commission members call the secretary if they are
unable to attend meetings, especially public hearings.
Chairman Branson called meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
