HomeMy WebLinkAbout002 07 74MINUTES OF PLANNING AND ZONING ~,TING FEBRUARY 7, 197& Minutes of the regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission held in the city municipal building February 7, 197A. Present: Chairman Jim Branson, Commission members Jack Menard, Del Peters and Larry Rawlins. Allen Martin, Ed Reese and Rodney Parrish excused. Meeting called to order by Chairman Branson at 8:00 p.m. Minutes of January meeting read and approved with correction of Wallace Bayliss instead of Roy Bayliss. COMMERCIAL BUSINESS BUILDING REQUEST - Charlie Frasure, 100 Laurel Lane, informed commission he has intentions of building a commercial business building along Yellowstone Highway just south of his present home°for his trailer sales and an office for L & H Auto Sales. Mr. Frasure was informed by commission he would need to meet with State Highway Department to secure the requirements for curb cut and setback because of planned construction along Yellowstone Highway. Mr. Menard requested Mr. Frasure attend city council meeting Tuesday night with his plan. REQUEST FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT - Harry Belangee, 150 South Lucky, told commission he would like to build a four-plex on Lucky Street which is in an R-2 Trailer zone. He was informed it would be necessary for him to request a conditional use permit which would would require a public hearing and could be taken care of the first meeting in March. PUHLIC HEARING ITHM: William Hunziker, Jr. and John Lewis are requesting a variance allowing them to operate a used car lot using a mobile trailer as an office at 5058 Yellowstone. This is the location where Charlie Frasure intends to bud_ld a commercial building which will house the auto sales when completed. Jack Menard informed Mr. Hunziker and Mr. Lewis they would be required to hook to the city water and sewer system. Commission member Menard moved the commission recommend the city council grant this variance to use a mobile unit as an office for L & H Auto Sales. Del Peters seconded motion with an unanimous vote in favor of motion. PARADISE ACRES - Councilman Kinghorn was present and the preliminary plat for this subdivision of Mortgage Insurance was discussed. The waste canal along Yellowstone Highway being the major concern.
