Minutes of a special meeting held in the city municipal building,
April 3, 1990.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Council members Leroy S. ~uick,
Steven M. England, David A. Landon, W. Dean Wood, Attorney
Thomas J. Holmes, Public Works Director Steven M. Smart and
City Clerk Ron C. Conlin.
Meeting was called to order at 5:05 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
PURPOSE OF MEETING shall be to discuss proposed Fire Station Bond.
PROPOSED FIRE STATION BOND - Fire Chief Campbell presented to Mayor
Cotant and Council estimated Fire Department Bonding costs.
Discussion about where the building should be located on the
property.
Councilman Wood was asked to check on Circle K property, to
find out if the property is sold, and what it might sell for.
Discussion about fire vehicles getting in and out of proposed
Fire Station.
FC Campbell gave a estimate on costs to update, and build an
additional building, next existing Fire Station.
Discussion about purchase of Velbert Jackson property, ~ust
north of existing Fire Station. PWD Smart called Mr. Jackson
to discuss purchase of property. There will be further
negotiating with Mr. Jackson.
After considerable discussion, Councilman Landon moved to
proceed with a bond election, for the amount of $500,000.00.
Councilman Wood seconded. All council members voted in favor
of motion.
At
7:45 p.m., Councilman Landon moved, Councilman Wood seconded,
with full council approval to adjourn meeting.

CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50-604, the undersigned Mayor
of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, hereby calls a special meeting of
the City Council to be held at the Chubbuok Municipal Building,
5160 Yellowstone Avenue, a% the hour of 5:00 p.m., on the 3th day,
of April, 1990. The object of the special meeting shall be to
discuss proposed Fire Station Bond.
