HomeMy WebLinkAbout001 08 87LAND USE AND DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MUNUTES January 8, 1987 Minutes of the regular meeting of the Land Use and Development commission held in the city municipal building, January 8, 1987. Present: Chairman Pete Anderson, CommisSion members Robert Allen, Even Byington, Dee Stalder; Council representative LeRoy Quick, Secretary Myrna Crapo. Excused Sue Parrish, Ted Corrington Meeting called 'to order at. 7:45 by Chairman Anderson Chairman Anderson asked for any additions or corrections to the November 6, 1986 minu~es. There being none Robert Allen made a motion to accept minutes as written. Dee Stalder seconded the motion, with all commission members voting in favor. Chairman Anderson welcomed Myrna Crapo as the new secretary and LeRoy Quick as the new lcouncil representative. GENERAL BUSINESS: REVIEW OF THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT ISSUED TO RICK AND CARCLINE Hartley at 5060 Eorian, ChubbuCk, Idaho to operate a beauty shop in the home September 5, 1985. Chairman Anderson ex p~ned that according to Attorney Lynn winmill's interpretation of the ordinance as long as they are in compliance with all ordinance and statues of the city we cannot impose a review on conditional uSes because there are e~ough other things in the ordinance and statues that can take care of the problems that arise as far as conditonal uSes. The Hartleys would like to change the half hour requirement after the eDding of classes at the adjacent school. The commission discussed the schools location, type of work done at the beauty shop and the number of persons working there. Robert Allen made a motion that the commission approve the conditional use permit' to Rick and 'Caroline Hartley at 5060 Dorian to operate a beauty shop in their home and that the follcwing changes be made: (1) We do not have a yearly review anymore, (2) That she is no longer restricted to the half hour after ending of classes at the school for not having customers. (3) That it be limited toe one chair operation (4) That everything else remain the same Dee Stalder secoDded the motion with all commission members voting in the affirmative. Chairman Anderson presented certificates of appreciation to Dee Stalder for 10 years service on the Land Use Board and to Bob Allen for 5 years on the Board.
