Council Meeting Minutes
May 9~ 1995
Minutes of regular meeting held at city municipal building, May 9, 1995.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Council members Dean Wood, LeRoy Quick,
Steven England, Marvin Gunter, Public Works director Steve Smart
Attorney Tom Holmes, and secretary Myrna Crapo.
Meeeting was called to order at 7:30 pm by Mayor John O. Cotant.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG.
APPROVAL OF MINU?ES - Mayor John O. Cotant asked for corrections or
additions to regular meeting minutes of April 25~ 1995.
Councilman Dean ~7ood moved to approve the minutes of April 25~ 1995 aa
read. Councilman Marvin Gunter seconded. All voted in favor of motion.
Mayor Cotant opened the meeting and invited the citizens to express the
concerns that had brought them to the meeting.
Several concerned citizens addressed the council concerning the
proposed school. They e×presaed concerns about the Siphon
intersection interchange and the widening of Chubbuck Road.
PROPOSED 1995 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN.
Page 39 shows the High School on Hawthorne and Siphon. It needs to
be on the SE corner of Yellowstone and Siphon.
Steve England moved that we adopt draft version # 6 of the City of
Chubbuck 1995 comprehensive plan. LeRoy Quick seconded the motion.
All voted in favor.
CLAIMS - Computer print-out claims presented to Mayor Cotant and
council.
Councilman LeRoy Quick moved to pay the claims. I~larvin Gunter
seconded. All council members voted in favor of motion.
At 9:00 p.m. Councilman England moved to adjourn the meeting with
Councilman Gunter seconding.
