Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Council members Leroy S. Quick,
Steven M. England, W. Dean Wood, Marvin C. Gunter, Public
Works Director Steven M. Smart and City Clerk Ron C.
Coniin. Attorney Thomas J. Holmes was excused.
Meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
PURPOSE of Special Meeting is to discuss, i) Worley Heights
Subdivision Final Plat. 2) Police Department Police Chief
Jerry Rowland.
FINAL PLAT - WORLEY HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION - FWD presented the Worley
Heights Subdivision Final Plat, with recommendation the
Council approval the final plat.
Councilman England moved to approve the Worley Heights
Subdivision as presented. Councilman Gunter seconded. All
council members voted in favor of motion.
POLICE DEPARTMENT DISCUSSION - Police Chief Jerry Rowland asked
Mayor Cotant and Council for a determination on whether or not
to hire a policeman with the $72,000. grant the City of
Chubbuck Police Department was awarded. Chief Rowland stated
the grant was applied for, and received, if the City wants it.
Chief Rowland said the first year in salaries will cost the
City $5,987., plus benefits, the second year $18,000., the
third year is $28,000., plus benefits.
Chief Rowland explained the duties of the proposed officer.
The officer if hired, would be stationed at the Pine Ridge
Mall Office.
Councilman Wood moved to direct Chief Rowland to continue the
process of obtaining the grant, and hiring a new police
officer with the grant monies obtained. Councilman England
seconded. All council members voted in favor of motion.
At 5:20 p.m., Councilman Quick moved, Councilman England seconded,

CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50-604, the undersigned Mayor
of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, hereby calls a special meeting of
the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck Municipal Building, at
the hour of 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, the 4th. day of April, 1995.
The ob3ect of the special meeting shall be 1) Worley Heights
Subdivision Final Plat. 2) Police Department - Jerry Rowland.

Pursuant to the call set forth above, notice is hereby given
of a special meeting of the Chubbuck city Council at the time and
