COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
August 21, 1996
special meeting held in the city municipal building,
1996.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Council members Leroy S. Quick, W.
Dean Wood, Marvin C. Gunter, Attorney Thomas J. Holmes, and
City Clerk Ron C. Conlin. Councilman Steven M. England, and
Public Works Director Steven M. Smart were excused.
Meeting was called to order at 1:13 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
PURPOSE OF MEETING was to go to, 1) Review 1996-97 Fiscal Year
Tentative Budget. 2) Mountain Park Drive Sewer Line
discussion.

Chief Rowland stated it will be hard to cut the Law
Enforcement Budget by $40,000., but he will advise City Clerk
Conlln of where the cuts wlll be.
Discussion about transferring the balance of the deficit from
the Highway, Streets and Roads Property Tax Levy.
After discussion, Councilman Quick moved to adopt the 1996-
97 Fiscal Year Tentative Budget at $6,115,129, setting the
public hearing for adopt ion of the 1996-97, "Annual
Appropriation Ordinance", September 3, 1996 at 5:0~ p.m., at
the Chubbuck City Council Chambers. Councilman Wood
seconded. All council members present voted in favor of
mot ion.
MOUNTAIN PARK SEWER LINE DISCUSSION - Discussion about City
purchasing a lot developed, or undeveloped.
Councilman Gunter suggested the Council direct FWD Smart to
decide which lot will suit the City's needs, maybe do some
negotiating and report to the Council.
After discussion, Council decided to direct PWD Smart to
decide which lot will suit City needs best, then maybe do some
negotiating, and report back to Council.
Council decided to table the agenda item until the August 27,
1996 Council Meeting.
At 3:00 p.m., Councilman Quick moved, Councilman Gunter seconded,
with full council approval to adjourn meeting.

CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50-604, the undersigned Mayor
of the City of Chubbuck, idaho, hereby calls a special meeting of
the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck Municipal Building, at
the hour of 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday, the 21th., day of August,
1996. The object of the special meeting shall be to review and
discuss, 1) Mountain Park Drive Sewer.,-Llne, 2) 1996-97 Fiscal Year
Tentative Budget. ~~
