Minutes of special meeting held in the city municipal
March 19~ ]996.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Council members Leroy S. Qulc~,
Steven M. ~ngland, W. Dean Wood, Public Works D%rector S~-even
M. Smsrt and City Clerk Ron C. Conlin. Councilman Marvin C.
Gunter and Attorney Thomas J. Holmes were excused. ~
Meeting was called to order st 5=00 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
PURPOS~ OF MRETING was to discuss water and sewer rates.
WATER AND SEWER RAT~ DISCUSSION - Mayor Cotant called the special
meeting to discuss how water and sewer expenditures compare
with revenues collected at current rates.
City Clerk Conlln presented and explained what the funds on
financial report are set aside for.
City Clerk Conltn presented a report of March, 95 throl]gh
March, 96 showing expenditures as compared to revenues,
stating the expenditures are staying right on with r~enl]es.
PWD Smart explained projects that are budgeted in tb~ 1995-
96 Fiscal Year Budget. Because of winter months th~ projects
have not started as of yet. PWD Smart stated if the rates are
cut, it will have an affect on the 1995-96 Fiscal Year
Projects.
City Clerk Conlin stated the City received the approx.
9400,000.00 from the City of Pocatello reimburse. Th~ monies
are invested in the State Pool making 5.33% interest in
February.
There was concern about lowering sewer rates prior to having
a full years report on revenues at the current rate of S12.00.
The sewer rates were lowered from $17.00 to S12.00 on the
October, 95 bill.
After considerable discussion, Council decided to leave rates
as they are, then take another look during the 1996-97 Fiscal
Year Budget process.
At 6,30 p.m., Councilman Quick moved3.~Councilman Wood seconded,

CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Purs%lant to Idaho Code Section 50-604, the undersigned Mayor
of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, hereby calls a special meetl~ng of
the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck Municipal Building, at
the hour of 5~00 p.m., on Tuesday, the 19th., day of March, 1996.
The object of the special meeting shall be to discuss water and
