COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
April 8, 1997
Minutes of regular meeting held at city municipal building,
April 8, 1997.
Present; Mayor John O. Cotant, Council members Steven M. England,
W. Dean Wood~ Marvin C. Gunter, Attorney Thomas J. Holmes,
Public Works Director Steven M. Smart and City Clerk Ron C.
Conlin. Councilmember Leroy S. Quick was excused.
Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor John O. Cotant,
PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Mayor Cotant asked for corrections or
additions to regular meeting minutes of March 26, 1997.
Collncilman Wood moved to approve regular meeting minutes of
March 25~ 1997 as read. Councilman Gunter seconded. Ail
council members present voted in favor of motion.
PUBLIC HEARING - An application by Con Jansen, 8294 W. Buckskin for
review of a preliminary plat for Burley Bonanza Commercial
Tract. Property is presently zoned Industrial, {I). A
subdivision located at 4604 Burley Drive.
Staff report stated, at City*s request the Jansen's are
platting their development and dedicating ROW for 'the future
improvement of Burley Drive. In the past this not been the
practice but we are asking all developments, especially in
unplatted areas~ to plat their developments.
Mayor Cotant declared the public hearing open, there being ac
comment, Mayor Cotant declared the p~blic hearing closed.
Councilman England moved to approve the Burley Bonanza
Commercial Tract Preliminary Plat as presented. Councilman
Gunter seconded. Ail council members present voted in favor of
motion.
LIQUOR, WINE AND BEER LICENSE APPLICATION - Kevin Spencer and Dan
Coffman, 2~0 West Bonneville, Pocatello, Idaho have applied
for license to sell liquor~ wine and beer, dba Toolie's at the
Days.
Councilman Wood moved to approve a Liquor, Wine and Beer
License to Kevin Spencer and Dan Coffman~ 2~0 W. Bonneville~
Poeatello, Idaho, dba Toolie's at the Days Inn, 139 W.
Burnside Ave. Councilman England seconded+ All council members
voted in favor of motion.

-' ONSTRUCTION OF WELL~o~- WELL HOUSE AND PUMP CONTROLS
~,zt~ received sealed Bids for the construction of Well #5 Well
House and Pump Controls.
The following sealed bid was received:
B & C Construction
5% Bid Bond $11~,o90.00
PWD Smart recommended Conncil approve the only bid received.
Councilman Gunter moved to accept the Bid received from B & C
Construction in the amount of $112,590. Councilman England
seconded. Ail council members present voted in favor of
motion.
CLAIMS Computer print-out claims presented to Mayor Cotant and
Council.
Councilman Gunter moved to approve computer print-out claims
as presented. Councilman Wood seco~ded. Ail council members
present voted in favor of motion.
ANNOUNCEMENTS - Cities-Connty Meeting, Thursday, April 17, 1997 at
Noon~ at Bannock County Commissioners Chambers.
At 8:00 p.m. ~ Councilman Wood moved, Conncilman England seconded,
witt~ full council approval to adjourn meeting.
