AN ORDINANCE EXCLUDING FROM THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
CITY OF CHUBBUCK, BANNOCK COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS.
WHEREAS, the Bannock County Fairgrounds were originally
annexed to the City of Chubhuck because of its isolated location
and need for water~ and
WHEREAS, currently the area adjacent to said fairgrounds
has been imp~.oved and built up and said fairgrounds now secures
water and other services from the City of Pocatello; and
WHEREAS, it would therefore be in the best interests
of the County for said fairgrounds to be excluded from the
municipal boundaries of the City of ChubbUck; and
WHEREAS, disannexation will not change or alter any
responsibility to pay taxes, such property being tax exempt;
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK, a municipal corporation of the State of
Idaho, that the Bannock County Fairgrounds be excluded from
and no longer a part of the jurisdictional limits or within
the boundaries 'of the City of Chubbuck.
An emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage, approval
and publication of said ordinance.
