'EXTI�NDING AND IMPROVING THE WATERWORKS SYSTEM- OF SAID VILLAGE, PROVIDING FOR - A SPECIAL ELECTION :IN. SAID VILLAGE. TO VOTE UPON THE QUESTION OF ISSUING SUCH BONDS­ AND SPECIFYING PROVISIONS TO BE MADE FOR THE P A Y M•E N T THEREOF. WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary that the Village extend and improve its waterworks system; and WHEREAS, the Village of Chub - buck,• Idaho, does not have funds ;.available for said purpose; and WHEREAS, ,it is deemed advisable by the Board of Trustees that nego- tiable coupon bonds of said Village in the amount of $30,000 be issued and sold for such purpose; NOW, THEREFORE, , BE IT OR- 4 RAINED BY THE CHAIRMAN AND ;BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE 'VILLAGE OF CHUBBUCK; BAN 1 ,TOCK COUNTY, STATE OF IDAHO: Section 1. That negotiable coupon bends of the Village of Chubbuck in the amomit of $30,000 be issued and sold to provide funds for the pur- Legal Advertisement Pose of .extending antd improving the waterworks system of said Village, which is a necessary public improve- ment. Section i That such bonds shall bear :interest at a rate not to exceed •5 %a per annum, payable semi- annual- ly, and shall mature and be payable upon an ` anxiva* amortization plan, the first annual amortized principal payment to mature and be. payable at the expiration of two years from and after the date of the bonds, and the last annual amortized principal payment to mature and be, payable at --the expiration, of 16 years from and after the date of the bonds, and the various annual maturities shall be, as nearly -as , practicable, in such principal amounts as will, together' with the accruing interest on all out - standing bonds of such issue be met by an equal annual tax levy for the payment of the principal of said bonds and interest thereon during the term for which such bonds shall be issued in accordance with provi- sions of Section 50 -2811 Idaho Code, and the municipal Bond Law of Ida - ho; that said .bonds shall be in de- nominations of Five Hundred • Dollars each, numbered conseoutively, begin - ning with the number one, said bonds being payable in numerical order. Section 3. That for the purpose of providing funds to pay the interest on said bonds, promptly when the same falls due and also a sinking fund for the payment of said bonds at: maturity, there shall he levied 'an- nually upon all -of' the taxable prop - erty in, said Village, in addition to all other taxes, a sum sufficient to 'pay the interest on said bonds and to . provide for the payment of the principal thereof as they mature, and all. such taxes shall be levied, as- sessed and collected as other taxes until the bonds so issued are fully .paid; and all taxable property 'within the said Village shall be pledged for tie. punctual payments of the princi- pal of and-the. interest on said bonds when due. Section 4. That - a special election of the qualified electors who are tax- payers, of the Village of. Chubbuck, Idaho, shall be held on Friday, the 20th day of Sept., 1957, for the pur- pose of enabling the qualified electors who are taxpayers of said Village to vote upon the question of issuing said bonds. Said election shall be held at the Municipal Building between the hours of ,9:00 o'clock A.M. and 7:00 o'clock P,M, of said day. The following named persons possessing the qualifications of electors are hereby appointed to act as, judges and clerks of said election, to -wit: Ethyl Talbot Charolette Voyles Phyllis Armstrong Edith Grumbine Lenora Conelly Clerks Judges Section 5. Thirty, days notice of such special bond election shall be given by publication in the Idaho State .Journal, a newspaper of gen- Legal Advertisemew eral circulation in the Village of Chubbuck, Idaho, for five consecu- tive issues thereof, and by posting such notice for a ,similar length of time in three public places in the Village, which notice'shall be in sub - s%ntially-the following form: NO'T'ICE OF BOND ELECTION 'VILLAGE OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO August 15, 1957 PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIV- EN That a special election of the qualified electors of the Village of Chubbuck, Idaho, who are taxpayers therein, will be held in the Municipal Building in said Village between the Building in said Village between the hours of 9:00 o'clock A.M. and 7:00 o'clock P.M. on the 20th day of Sept., 1957, for the purpose of voting upon, the following question: "Shall bonds of the Village of Chubbuck, Bannock County, State of Idaho, be issued in the total ,amount of $30,000, bqgring interest at a rate or rates riot exceeding 5% per annum and maturing serial- ly on an amortization plan as re, qui-red by the Municipal Bond Law of the State of Idaho, the first in- stallment of principal to be due and payable at the expiration of two years from the date -of:. said- .bonds- - and the last liistallmenct of. said principal.-to be due and p:t abbe at the expiration. of 1.6 years from the date thereof,' said bonds to be is- .sued and sold to provide funds for the purpose of extending and im- proving the . waterworks system , of said Village of Chubbuck, Idaho, as provided in Ordinance No. 392" At such election only those quali- fied electors who are taxpayers in the Village of Chubbuck, Idaho, will be permitted to vote. Geneva D. Valenty, Village Clerk, is ex- officio registrar of said Village. The place of registration is the office of said Village Clerk at the Munich, pal Building. Persons may register on each day at any time during the office hours of said Clerk, beginning with the day that the Notice of Election is given and continuing until and including the Saturday next preceding the elec- tion; on Thursday, Friday and Satur- day next preceding such election per- sons may register A.M. etween the hours of 9:00 o'clock M and 5:00 o'clock P.M. and between the hours of 7:00 o'clock P.M. and 9 :00;' o'clock P.M. . If at such election two - thirds of the qualified electors' who are taxpayers in such village voting at such election assent to the issuing of such bonds, they shah: be issued in manner provided by the "Munici- pal Bond Law" of the State of Idaho. This ordinance, upon its passage and .approval, shall be pub- lished in one issue of the Idaho State Journal,.;a newspaper of general cir- culation, ,in 'the Village of Chubbuck, Idaho, and shall . take effect and be in full force immediately after. its passage, approval and publication. Section 9, All ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of� Chub- buck, Idaho, in conflict with this ordinance or any part hereof are hereby repealed.
